UNITY Enhancement Rollout - Open House

ICJ National Office will be holding two UNITY software open house sessions to answer questions and provide guidance on the two April 1, 2024 UNITY Enhancements;

  • The new "Detailed Justification" required data field when in the Home Evaluation the field officer selects "Not Recommended" in the Supervision Recommendation.

  • The new "Form IX - Failed Supervision" form and UNITY workflow process. 

Rule 5-103A: Mandatory Relocation Determined by Receiving State

  1. The receiving state may determine relocation is mandatory when one of the following circumstances applies:

    a. A legal guardian remains in the sending state, the receiving state has documented efforts or interventions to redirect the behavior, and:

        i. The juvenile no longer resides in the residence approved by the receiving state due to documented instances of violation of conditions of supervision; or

What if I was put on probation in another state but I don’t live there?

You must be supervised in the state in which you reside, which is considered the receiving state for the purposes of the interstate transfer of supervision case. The probation officer in the state in which you were adjudicated, or the sending state, will issue you a travel permit and will submit a transfer of supervision request through the state compact office.
